During the last decade, the preparation done prior to playing a game and training has
evolved enormously. Tiger Woods, for example, always arrives 50 minutes before he
tees off. This warming up and preparation routine allows him to manage moments of
pressure effectively, during his round of golf.
One of the errors I often see on the driving range is when golf students(pupils) come to
practice for practice’s sake. By this I mean, taking a 7 iron or even a driver and then
hitting a basket of balls with the same club. During a round you will never hit with a 7
iron more than twice in a row, so why hit twenty in a row?
One needs to break down the wall that separates the driving range from the golf course.
In fact, golf is the only sport where one practices in one location (the driving range) but
the actual game is played in a different location (the golf course).
