It was in 1992 during the second Conference on Golf Instruction(coaching) in Montreux,
that I had the opportunity to meet some of the most acclaimed golf instructors(coaches):
Dave Pelz, Gary Wiren, Denis Pugh, Ralph Mann, John Stirling, Vivien Saunders, Chuck
Cook, Michael Hebron, Jim Mclean, and Hank Haney. And so began my career in golf,
as assistant to the Pro at the Basel Golf Club.

As a novice in the field, these experts surprised me with their technical knowledge and
their own individual approaches to teaching golf. Hank Haney particularly impressed
me, some years later becoming Tiger Wood’s coach. He explained, in a very simple
manner, his philosophy on the swing and on giving instruction for over an hour.

It was after this conference that I understood that my passion was to become my career.
